Hyaluronic Acid-based (HA) dermal fillers from the Restylane, Juvederm and Belotero family of products, as well as the volumizer Radiesse (Calcium hydroxylapatite) are injected either into the dermis, deep dermis or supra-periostially (overlying bone), depending on their specification, to reverse signs of aging and improve the appearance of scars. The results are immediate and biodegrade gradually over period of time.

Sculptra (Poly-L Lactic Acid) is a contouring agent that stimulates collagen regrowth, thereby beautifully lifts and firms the skin gradually over a short period of time.

 Kybella (Deoxycholic Acid) is fat dissolving agent that is injected strategically into the area of the chin (submental) fat creating a more contoured appearance of the neck and chin over a short period of time.

Sculptra, Radiesse, Kybella and the HA’s are all considered safe. No allergy or patch testing is required prior to treatment.

Side effects for all injectable agents are generally minor and can include temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. These side effects last anywhere from a few hours to a week. Ice applications and over–the-counter medications are usually sufficient to manage any discomfort from these side effects, and make-up can be used to cover any redness or bruising. Know that adverse reactions have been reported and will be discussed further during your visit and prior to consent.
