SCLEROTHERAPY

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure performed by our office to treat uncomplicated spider veins, also known as telangiectasias, which are tiny red or blue veins, usually less than 1mm in diameter that lie close to the skin’s surface.

ASCLERA® is an FDA approved sclerosing agent that is injected into small veins. It works by damaging the inner wall of the vein, and eventually causing the vein to collapse on itself. The treated, damaged vein is eventually replaced with tissue.
